A narrative sci-fi survival horror about a mother searching for her son aboard a dying transport ship.

ABOUT THE GAME

A mother woke up alone. Her son didn't.

Aya Sole awakens from cryogenic sleep aboard an interplanetary transport vessel operated by Amaru Long. The crew is missing, entire sections of the ship have lost power and her son, Milo, is nowhere to be found.

With only the ship's artificial intelligence, ARIUX-9000, to guide her, Aya must explore the abandoned vessel, restore failing systems, and uncover what happened during the journey.

STORY

The Great Bloom changed Earth forever.

The sudden thaw of Antarctica raised sea levels across the globe, flooding entire regions and forcing millions to seek a new beginning elsewhere.

Amaru Long offered hope. Its distant city, Illariy, promised safety and a chance to start over.

Aya and her son accepted that promise. But when she awakens from cryogenic sleep, the journey has become a nightmare.

The crew has vanished.
The ship is dying.
And something is moving through the corridors.

ABOUT US

KickDaCan is a small independent game studio formed by a group of friends from Peru.

We came together with the goal of creating narrative-driven experiences that blend atmosphere, storytelling, and interactive exploration. ILLARIY is our first major project, a sci-fi survival horror about a mother searching for her son aboard a dying transport ship.

Our focus is on building immersive worlds and emotionally grounded stories that grow from collaboration and experimentation.

Thank you for taking interest in our work.

FEEDBACK

Thank you for playing our demo!

As mentioned above, ILLARIY is being developed by a small team, and many of the tools we used (such as Unreal Engine, Blender, and Aseprite) are ones we only recently began learning in depth during development.

Because of this, some suggestions or features may take time to implement, but we truly value every piece of feedback. It helps us understand what works, what doesn’t, and how to improve the game moving forward.

Thank you for being part of the journey and supporting ILLARIY.

Hey guys, overall, I feel the pace of the game at the beginning is a little too slow. I think people who aren't used to exploring and clicking "X" on everything could easily get bored without some hints. Also, when starting the game, there's no indication whatsoever that pressing "X" allows you to advance to the next dialogue. I played until I could hear the monster on my left, but I couldn't see it. I then went to ORBI's room, and I couldn't hear the monster anymore. I'm not sure if that was intentional or a bug. I can see that the game is trying to build up some lore through the notes scattered around, but I feel like there isn't a clear path to follow. Since this isn't an open-world game, I think some guidance would help prevent players from feeling like they're wasting time exploring rooms unnecessarily, unless I missed something along the way. In general, I like the game's style, so I think putting more thought into the pacing and progression could benefit the game a lot.

Thank you so much for taking the time to play our demo and share your valuable feedback! We’ll go through all of your suggestions and observations as a team and evaluate how they could help us improve the game. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us!

Btw, the monster sound disappearing when leaving ORBI’s room is indeed a bug. We’ve identified the issue and will be patching it soon!
